Transfer a call to an ext on DND 1

When transfering a call to someone that has DND on it says call transfered then immediatly starts ringing back to the person that transfered the call. It will go to the persons vm that you transfered the call to following the forward no answer amount of rings, but why does it also ring back to the person that made the transfer? Tranfer return is set to off in the feature settings.

It's working as designed.
External calls to the DN will flow differently.
Check the display on the set you are transferring from and it should tell you the set is in DND, allowing the transferring party to pickup the call and redirect it to the called party's mailbox.

is there not a way to turn off the ring back?

No.
You could have the users forward their sets to VM instead of using DND when they prefer not to be disturbed.

Unfortunatly the hunt group calls still ring through when forward to vm is on. So they have to use both DND and fwd 2 vm.....

True.
The DND is used to temporarily remove the user from the HG.
HG's act like a separate entity and do not follow any of the set based parameters, like FNA,etc.
