Transfer 14 program on button on DSS(CA48)?

I have a number of mailboxes (without phones) on system. Can I program 'transfer voicemail' and extension number on CA48? Can you program anything on CA48?

You can program Extention Numbers on the CA48,
You will need a "direct VM transfer" (Feature 14) on the phone to do the actual transfer.

To the best of my knowledge, only valid extensions will be accepted (10 ~ 57).

I have a situation where the users do not have a physical phone but share a desk with others. I am assuming from your responses that a 'voicemail' extension only CANNOT be programmed on the CA48?

Yes, any extension number that is within the valid range of the system can be put on a DSS button. If you set the VMS Cover rings to 1 for those extension that have a mailbox but not a phone set, you don't even need to use Transfer to Voice Mail (Feature 14), since the call will go on one ring
