We have a client whose tax tracking report on purchases does not reflect all transactions from AP. The entries are in the tax account in the GL. There is nothing out of the ordinary with any of the entries.

This is the first time we have encountered this. The tax tracking has not been cleared, transactions are not backdated/forward dated, etc.

The missing entries are totally random accross all dates in the month. We cannot find any common denominator on why the entries are missing. Has anyone else encountered this? If so, did you find a root cause?

Many thanks

Version? Database? Service packs? But FWIW, in all cases that I've seen this, the tables were cleared.

Hi There

6.0A build 2
AP etc on 6.0A prod update 2

running on SQL Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2008 R2 (SQL Native client)

Same our side. I agree that it seems very odd. In the past the only time we have encountered this is where the tax tracking was cleared in error. This is definitely not the case here as we can see entries before and after the missing ones (some are in the same batch) The other odd thing is that we run a hosted environment for 23 companies (all on same servers and same Accpac instance) and at this stage it seems like only one client is experiencing this problem. Last month we pulled the data up for them out of the database and made it look the same as the tax tracking report thinking that this was on once off inexplicable glich but it has happened again this month

Thanks

For deeper analysis, if you use PO, check the PORCPAL and POINVAL audit files for correct tax data. If just AP, check APPJ* tables.
