We have a 60G database that replicates OK for weeks.
Suddenly the Log Reader agent has stopped with the following error:
"An invalid datetime value was encountered. Value exceeds the year 9999.
(Source: MYSERVER (Data source); Error number: 542)"
First, how on earth did a date greater than 9999 get into the database?
Secondly, how do I get around this? Re-innitialising the database is out of the question due to the size and time needed to do it. The transaction has somehow got into the log - I need to remove it. Is it possible to start transactional replication according to a specific date/time?
Anyone have any ideas - greatefully received
