Transaction Void Button

Hey Micros Experts,

We are evaluating the impact of removing the Transaction Void button and want to know how often it is being used by our locations. There is another Void button that they should be using instead of Transaction Void.

I have looked at the setup of the Transaction Void button and it is a macro.

Is there any table I can query that will show me how often a specific button/macro/key has been called?

I have tried to isolate the difference between a Void and a Transaction Void through the reports and they appear to report the same way.

I was hoping I could identify the number of times the Transaction Void button has been pushed form the database.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Voids and Transaction voids report exactly the same way but just work a little differently.

Any particular reason you want to remove it. Is it just to save space on the touchscreen?

The Transaction Void button serves no purpose for our environment and like you assumed, it is just taking up space and causing unnecessary questions about usage.

I was just hoping there was somewhere in the database that I could query the usage to see if there would be any impact in removing it.

I thought Transaction Void enables me to cancel a transaction after I have started one. i.e cancel and exit the system.
