Hi all. Our organization uses GP 8.0, and I noticed it doesn't seem to be recording the time in any of the date/time fields. I found the database tables actually have constraints requiring the time to be zeroed out. Does anyone know why that is, or if it can be changed within the app?

Thanks!

This was the original design of GP and has been for as long as I have been working with it (almost 20 years). If a field actually needs to track time (for example, login time or Exchange Rate time) there will be a separate field for the time, where the date will be forced to 1/1/1900 (Dexterity's equivalent of no date). In the latest version of GP (10.0) there is a new column on most (but not all) of the transaction tables that will have the transaction date/time stamp. But nothing in GP 8.0 or 9.0. And it's not something that can be changed unless you create a customization to track the time stamp in your own table(s).
