Here is my dilemma.

I would like a program to help me do the following:

1. Change a value on the front end of a program.
2. Notify me of what table/fields changed in a monitored SQL Server database. What their old, and new values are.

This is to assist me in properly mapping fields to our Data Warehouse.

Is there anything out of the box that has these capabilities?

Any assistance is GREATLY appreciated as this is quickly becoming a huge problem for me.

There is noting out of the box as far as I know. For auditing tables as you want, triggers would be the best way.

One more bump to see if anyone else has heard of such a program.

If not, maybe I'll make one, haha.

Well SQL server 2005 has DDL triggers (for table changes)
In SQL server 2000 you can use triggers for data changes

“I sense many useless updates in you... Useless updates lead to defragmentation... Defragmentation leads to downtime...Downtime leads to suffering..Defragmentation is the path to the darkside.. DBCC INDEXDEFRAG and DBCC DBREINDEX are the force...May the force be with you" --
