I have a SQL 7 database that contains about 4 gig of data. I have the option to truncate log on checkpoint set for the database, but the transcation log has grown to 13 gigabytes in about a month's time. Do you know why this would occur and should I set the option to automatically shrink the db to prevent this in the future?
