Hi, I have a dimension which has difficulties to be created as dimension in a cube.

My dimensions are Country, Year and Grouping

Country
- ctry_name

Year
- year

Grouping
-grp_cd
-grp_name

All the levels are well connected to the data sources and there was no error in generating categories. Also, in the Diagram I can see the proper dimensions. However, the cube shows only the Grouping in a wrong way. It is not dimension like Country. It is created like a level. i.e. Grouping shows up like a level and grp_cd and grp_name are no where to find.
Is there anyone who had already this problem/solution?
thanks in advance

Do you have several Iqds populating your cube ?

1 for each dimension , and 1 or more for the measures ?

If yes , have you marked the lowest level as unique ?
Check the Scope in transformer

Hi Draoued thank you first for your answer.
I have checked that the lowest levels are marked as unique.
But the iqds - I got my data sources from access database from the transformer directly. As I don't use impromptu, I don't have iqd for dimensions (here I wonder if I can create iqd for each dimension in the transformer? - if yes, can you give me a short tip how to do or where to look at?)

it is pity that I can't upload a snapshot of my cognos environment to show the problem....

Just in case there is someone who may face the same problem:

I have tried several ways to solve the problem I posted here. The best way was to restart again and again with the dimension which makes problem. I removed all the other dimensions and created first the dimension which was not build in the cube. After that was properly added to the cube, I started to add other dimensions. - However, I guess there is a better reason and a more intelligent solution. Until that time....

I avoided to use impromptu. But I ended up with the Impromptu because I need a self join... :)
