Hi, I have some points with object data attached, what I would like to do is to have a block inserted and have the object data now attached to the block. Inserting the blocks into the correct positions is no problem, but is there a way of unattaching an object's object data and attaching it to a different object?
Thank you, Michael Kohler

Mike,

There's no automatic way of doing this without customization. However, manually, it can be done. With Map there is a LISP routine called COPY_OD.LSP in the \sample folder. Load this via 'appload' or drag-n-drop it into the AutoCAD editor. The command is Copy_OD - select the source object (Point), then the target object (Block). All Object Data on the point will be copied to the block.

Good Luck,

Scott
