hey all,
anyway to have the popups have no bg, or a transparent? and or, actually put in a graphic?

thanks in advance.

you can choose to have the background transparent when you pick the color from memory, and graphics- use one of their premade graphics, export it then open the b/g image for the drop menu and edit it in fireworks to make your own.

Sometimes, when my code just won't behave, I take it outside and make it listen to britney spears music, and when it comes back it's really well behaved. I wonder if it's suffering from post tramatic stress syndrome now..

so if i understand you right, create the popup, then export (as what? htm?) it, then REOPEN the export in fireworks. and edit the popup background?

baby steps...

hey darncat,
okay, this is what i did.
i went to the exported files, brought the gif of the up and over bg back into fireworks, and basically, can't save it as a alpha/transparent gif...

i know i'm doing something wrong, but feel i'm getting close. can you step by step it for me? also, in the pop ups, can you choose a font other than the web defaults?

again, thank you.

not sure about the fonts, - web defaults are safest unless you are embedding fonts anyway- you can go into the javascript and change the font if you really want to once you have exported it.
you definatly should be able to edit the b/g image once it's been exported- even if you simply create a transparent spacer image the correct size and name it the same name.
