Training for system administration

What kind of training is available for administering a Panasonic system? Are there classes held by vendors or do I need to contact the manufacturer? How about books or on-line guides/manuals?

I've had a KX-TDA50 with voice mail system dropped in my lap to manage, but I've only worked on Avaya and InterTel before. It was fine for a while, but now things are slowly breaking and I don't know how to fix them.
 
IIRC the TDA-50 came with a manual on CD...at least all of mine do. Your first call ought to be to the vendor who installed the system. He can give you access to the areas you need to program or the entire system if he so chooses.

If I do that for a customer, and there are very few who ask for it, I always tell them that my backup is the one I'm going to use to restore the system if they ever need changes to the sytsem.

Lately, I've been looking at the HP ePC 42 in the used market for maintenance computers. A copy of Logmein and it has a Serial Port, USB ports and is tiny, and you have instant remote maintenance to a Panasonic system.

the original vendor is not obligated to give you access
to the database and in the states your are not allowed to give the software to anyone but certified dealers/techs
the phone assistant manager may be for you!

 
The Panasonic software has 3 levels of access. I wish Pana would have designed a level 2 and 3 only software that can be freely given out. Kind of like the Nortel CICS USER area.

I try to never give out the software because then I have to change the master system password. I do, however, install the software on the remote access PC.
