Hi there,
My coworker is going to be helping me with Mas 90 technical support issues and acting as my backup and hopefully take over my postion entirely w/in 6 months. I am concentrating on training with her but would like to take a more creative (and preferrably more interesting) approach to training.
The problem is, neither of us can take enough time away from our work to sit together for more than 1 or 2 hours a week. Also, formal training is not an option.
I have come up w/ some ideas for training and have implemented a few. I was wondering if anyone here had any other ideas.
Here's my list and please contribute your ideas! Thanks!
Vionca
List:
- Have her answer the Mas 90 support calls herself and take detailed notes on the issue and come to me for assistance if necessary.
-Create Power Point presentations for basic technical and accounting concepts
-In a test company, create scenarios of common problems that she may correct herself following a Power Point presentation, Best Knowledge Base article, etc.
-Create a trouble scenario in a test company where she may resolve the problem by trial and error
-e-mail short weekly review quizes
-Have her import tables into access when resolving a data corruption problem so that she may easily view the layout of the data and how it is stored in the files
-Have her create simple Crystal Reports to get familiar w/ Crystal and data file layouts.
-Call her up myself w/ a Mas 90 technical issue.
Anyone have any better ideas?
