I've got MICS 6.0, and I was wandering if its possible to
set up some kind of management listen in on the call session? And how would one go about it.
Thanx,
~V

I was working with that today with MICS 6.1. It is what you would call Silent Monitoring with Hunt Groups. I dont know much about it yet, but check bak with me. It has just been release.

Great news on the adding of Silent Monitoring in 6.1. Please post back with your observtions.

I'm experimenting now with a Algo USB AuxBox recorder. The current implemenation doesn't allow for a manager to "Silent Monitor", but they say that they are working on getting that working in the Fall.

The advantage of the AuxBox is that the calls are recorded to a computer for playback. The files are stamped with caller ID and time info.

I'm looking at creating a web page for the sales manager that filters the recorded calls through our customer addressbook. That way he only sees the calls that are customer related and doesn't have to listen to the personal calls of the sales agents.

I've come across some other systems and I'll post some URLs in a day or two, but none have impressed me as much as this system.

Ok,

Finally got time to work on MICS 6.1. Silent Monitor is priceless. Finally they made it.

Program everyone you need in a hunt group, set one supervisor, then do a Feature code, put in the password, put in the Hunt ground member dn, and it will listen in. If you want to join it will automatically connect you like a conference call.

What is the name of the product you use for the silent monitor of the MICS 6.0. Thanks

Taking bmaccaw's question one step further, where is this documented?

Silent monitor is a feature of 6.1 software, documentation is in both the IG and SCG.

also note that you have to have two or more intercom buttons since silent monitor uses a version of confrence to do the monitor.
