Traffic Study

What is the best method to do a traffic study for a remote location that has 2 - 2851 voice gateways, one with 2 PRI's and the other with 1 PRI. They all carry the traffic inbound and outbound for this office and we are adding about 140 more people and I want to see how underutilized or overutilized I am currently with the 3 PRI's.

you can open up real time monitoring tool and watch live/real time what gaeways/ports/channels are in use throughout the day

or get past history of gateway/port usage:

Using CAR (

name/ART - you may have to install it from the plugins) you will be able to run custom reports on specific gateways, users, extensions (wildcards allowed - 12xx), route plans AND ISDN trunk messaging to ident busy trunks or failing gear.

That way you'll only "see" the 3 PRI's, 1 site or 82 existing phones rather than everything mixed in.
