Hello All,

I'm a semi-regular user of sniffer, in a large manufacturing environment. I have sufficient expertise in IP and protocols in general to take a trace file and identify issues with the traffic that is captured. However, there appears to be few good sites specific in details of troubleshooting methodologies, nai sniffer expert explanations, etc, to turn towards when answers to questions arise. Tek-tips is certainly a good resource to turn to for answers, however I would like to compile a list of technical sites which are focused towards, and provide additonal information on the use of sniffer, its expert tools, recommended methodologies to tackling problems, guidelines to follow when analyzing traffic statistics, etc.

If anyone has suggestions to recommended sites for such information I would appreciate a response.

Furthermore, Once I have compiled a decent list of these sites, I will create a FAQs page and list all sites which are deamed to be decent in content .

Thanks in advance.

Hi Tony,

Actually, I already have your site in my list.

Thanks,

Ruster

Just checked out the snifferusers.org site. Seems pretty thin on info so far. Hopefully it'll get better as more people put more info into it. 'Making things work better; bit by bit.'

True fortunat. It's everyones task to register and fill it up then ;-)

Hello Azeemeri,

Thanks for the last listing. It is quite the site, and one which I was unaware of. I was surprised at how much filtering oriented information there was at and their pdf posters on protocols is very comprehensive.

Once again, thanks to everyone who has contributed to my request.

Keep em commin guys (and gals).

Ruster.

Thanks Betty,

I'll likely post a FAQ on TEK-TIPS once I compile enough sites.

Regards,

RUSTER.

Sorry Betty, I hadn't seen your site, it has the networkuptime link, it's great !
