i am a programmer/edi support here in germany.. we have different trading partners who are using EDIFACT and last year, we started to exchange TRADACOMS with a big company in UK.

Since years i didn't have problems in our INVOIC document in EDIFACT. But with this TRADACOMS, INVFL, i felt lost.. I don't know why this happened because I checked our formats not only once or twice and everything looks good.

Besides, if we have only one record in the header, we don't any problem..

The scenario is like this: Headerfile(H01) and Detailfile(D01)
1. we have for example 3 header records in our header file.
2. considering each header contains 2 lines (therefore, we have 6records in the detail file)
3. in EDIFACT, if i will create data to the mailbox, i can see 3 different documents/mailbox containing 2lines each.. BUT with TRADACOMS, what happen is, we create only 1 document and it contains all the other details from other header. Isn't it weird??
somehow the files have their keys and the 2 main keys are the trading partner id and the invoice number... so why the first header record is getting the detail records of the other headers eventhough they have different keys???

I checked the mapping and it is only logical that the header will be created once, then in the ILD segment, there will be loops for the detail (but the detail of the header only, right?)

So, why in TRADACOMS this problem occurs but not in EDIFACT knowing that I am using the same files for both and calling the same program to create the document...only the format varies, of course..

Any help or advice or tips are welcome... please...
thanks in advance to those who can give me any idea!!!

by the way, we are using EDI/400 in AS/400 machine...
