i have a question, i used to have a way to track users in my MDB's,so if there were issues i knew who was in them. is there anyway to do the same with an ADP?

well, with an adp, you've basically got a sql server as the back end, and on sql server you've got all sorts of ways to track users/process/jobs...

suser_sname() in SQL Server will give you the login for the session.

Create Procedure CurrentlyLoggedIn
(@username nvarchar(50) out)
As
@username = suser_sname()
Return

Call the procedure from VBA and yu're home free...
