Is there a good way to track printer usage in 2000? My client would like to know which users in his company are printing to the color printer the most.
PS: I have a couple of Macs printing directly to the printer and everyone else is on windows workstations. I currently track the printer with event viewer but would like to be able to be able to track the macs too. And, I would like to put it into some sort of chart that makes sense to the office manager.
You can enable auditing of the printer, but I don't have a server machine in front of me, so I can't help you on doing that. My server machine's power supply died so I only have my 98 and professional machines to look at.
I have already enabled auditing. I just would like to take the information from the log and put it into some sort of graphical format. For Example, something that would show how many pages user one printed on a particular date.
