Please could anyone let me know if it is possible to find out the exact time when an e-mail has been opened on my PC, even if it has since been marked as unread.
I'm using Windows XP, Outlook 2002, on some sort of microsoft network with an exchange server

Many Thanks

With the message go to FILE - PROPERTIES and look at the modified time. That should show the time the message was changed after being received.

The modified date of the message may tell you. I don't know where this setting is in Outlook 2002 but in Outlook, 2000, you can add add the modified date column to the folder view by doing the following:

Make sure that you are in the folder where the message resides
Choose "View", "Current View", "Customize Current View".
Click on "Fields"
Under "Select Available Fields From", Choose "All Mail Fields"
Click on "Modified" and then click on "Add"
Click "OK" twice

Oh, I just noticed that joegz posted a reply while I was drafting mine. I am wondering.....if someone opens the message as joegz suggested in order to look at the "modified time", will the "modified time" change because the message was opened? I'm not sure.....

Thanks Beckas, Joe, I did look at modified date but I presumed that is the date the e-mail was last changed and not when it was first opened, though sometimes that could be one and the same, it doesnt look like there is a way...
