I need to prove that an certain e-mail was sent from a groupwise server. I do not have access to the mail server but it could be court ordered. This is for a court case. Does Groupwise keep a history of who sent what mail even after the mail was deleted from the server like Exchange does?

Thank you for your help

FYI: Usually the log files are set to automatically delete after a certain number of days. If that time has expired you may be able to retrieve the log file from a nightly backup (assuming that they are stored on a portion of the server which is backed up nightly) or from Netware's file system restore.

In either case, you'll want to act quickly, or the log file may be lost forever.

Good luck,
-Ron

P.S. This is all assuming that the server is set to keep a log of email.
