Please help me on this one!!!

I have to create a webpage with six hyperlinks to a customers website. Each link will go to a different page.

The customer wants me to be able to give him daily statistics on how many ppl clicked on each of the links, ideally with their email address as well!!

The only idea I have so far is to regard each hyperlink as a form with a submit button and post an email to myself conttaining a ref no. However this seems like a real pain in the butt!!

I am only working in html &/or java here, and my site is hosted by my ISP.

If you can help you may help me keep my job!!!

well i dont think u can capture their emai ids, but u can give statisitics of the clicks per link, u have to redirect the links to a JSP file:
<a href=&quot;link.jsp?togo=Link1.html&linkck=Link1&quot;>Link1</a>
<a href=&quot;link.jsp?togo=Link2.html&linkck=Link2&quot;>Link2</a>

in link.jsp read the linkck will give the link that has been clicked and togo will give the page to go...

Known is handfull, Unknown is worldfull

Thanks for that, looks like a useful suggestion, however, I am confused as to where the .jsp file is stored and how I can access it on a daily basis and reset it!

I have never used .jsp files before...!

If possible could the file be mailed once a day and reset after that???
