Hi guys, I recently discover the functionality in my PBX that alert me when an authorization code violation occurs: I can configure this in the Security-related system parameters screen. When a violation occurs, the system calls me and an Authorization code violation message appears in my telephone, but I would like to know who tried to use an invalid authorization code, from what extension the user tried to make a call, but I don't know if that is possible. Could some of you help me about it?

you should maybe tell us what type of system you have, PBX is a bit broad in the description :)

If you can't be good, be good at it!

I may be wrong, but knowing at least what kind of system you have and what it is that is alerting you - well, those would be helpful in my opinion.

Maybe you meant to post in one of the system specific forums? This is the general/non specific forum.

If you install CDR (Call Detailed Recording) - also called SMDR (Station Message Detailed Recording) in your PBX, you will be able to see all call to/from all the extensions and trunks...
Of course your PBX should be capable of CDR/SMDR.

Hi again, I have an Avaya S8500 media server, When someone dial a wrong authorization code, the system place a call from an unassigned extension and calls me, I have a digital telephone, so I can see the Authorization code violation message in my telephone screen, but I can't see who tried to use an incorrect code, I don't know if exists a kind of log to see the invalid attempts. Please let me know if I have to go to another section to post my message, I have a little time using this forum, so I don't know very well the rules to use it.
Thanks in advance :)
