I have a program in Access that produces checks on a dot-matrix printer track feeder....I have rebuild the machine...we cannot get the settings to do the checks properly...It doen't stop at proper place...(7 inches for checks)...it does the letter size paper length...Any suggestions???

Maybe if you would post the manufacturer and model you might get some help. Just about every manufacturer uses a different way to set form length.

Memory is dim. ff&lf at the same time? Power on with either lf or ff depressed?
Think there was a dip switch in the middle of the bed, but not sure what functions were controlled.

Been at least 5 years since I've had hands on.

It is the Epson FX-185 Printer that giving problem...What settings can be made to make checks feed properly.

Checked the Epson site. There is no form length setting on this printer.
The only way to change the output is by software, by specifying form length.
