Using Nortons Anti-Virus Pro 2003 I have the following question?
When one receives an alert as to a email containing a virus and the program either automatically cleans/quarantines or delates the virus it appears not to show though the actual email that had the virus in it.
It give good detail, etc of the virus, etc but I would like to know the email that sent it to me and have not been able to find this information with-in the anti-virus program.
No knowing who (the email address) sent it dose not help trying to inform the possible legitimate sender as to them having a virus problem, etc...
Can someone offer assistance as to how I may be able to find the email or it's address?

Most email addresses on virus mails are faked by the virus. Yes they are legit email address but its not the person who sent the virus, it has harvested the email address from address books. I havent used norton av pro in a while, i think it replaces the whole email leaving nothing of the orignal. But if you want to find out where they are coming from you need to look at the email header and then report it to abuse@theirisp.com .
