Hi All,

could do with some advice. I have a intermittent internet connectivity issue, basically SDSL seems to drop for a few minutes and is back up again. However by the time the ISP investigate all is ok.

I want to run a ping -t and TraceRT from the LAN to say google.com

Then fo rthe resaults to be logged somwhere with timestamps so i can pinpoint time of diconnection and where (hop) the issue occurs.

Any 3rd party software able to this you know of?

Thanks in Advance

The command prompt will do that...

C:\Documents and Settings\Adminstrator>cd C:\
C:\ping -n 100 >>pinglog.txt

The output will show up in a text document it creates, in C:\pinglog.txt, or whatever directory you ping from (that's why I cd to C:\). Same with tracert.

Thanks for the reply,

However i need it to time / date stamp each log entry so i can see exactly the time of disconnection.

can this be done using ping.exe?

Thanks
