Hey there,

I have a Linksys BEFSX41 attached to my home Cable Modem, and obviously also to my Lan (1 pc and a laptop) each time i'm getting connectivity problems i try a tracert to a know IP on the internet, every single time the trace goes as follows:

tracert
Tracing route to tek-tips.com [216.45.19.33]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.1.254
2 * Hardware error.

Trace complete.

The hardware error is where my computer suddenly has no network connection (Its plugged in to the 4 port switch on the device). The router basically reboots it's self every time you do a trace through it. I have tried a couple of other routers of the same model and firmware with exaxctly the same result on each of them.

I'm using the current firmware from their website and can't find a link to old firmware. The firmware im using is Firmware Version: 1.50.18

Any suggestions???

Does it do that with both your laptop and your PC as source?
