We have a few different domains and a semi-confusing DNS setup. I am getting an old IP address when i do an NSLOOKUP on a server.

Is there an easy way to tell which server this bad entry is coming from?

Thanks,
Andrew

when you perform the nslookup, it should state which server is returning that query.
Example
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
(C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.

H:\>nslookup
Default Server: ns1.atlngar03.spcsdns.net
Address: 68.28.242.91

> Server: ns1.atlngar03.spcsdns.net
Address: 68.28.242.91

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: Address: 66.96.134.34

It is not giving me the "non-authoritative" message, leading me to believe that it was coming from my local DNS, but I cannot find the entry anywhere.

The (sort of) irritating part is now it is fixed, and I don't know why!

Thanks,
Andrew
