Hi,

We are trying to connect an SRG 50 rls 3 with a CS1K Rls 3. Unfortunately this is my first experience with SRG and I'm completely lost. We manage to see on the BCM monitor that the call is routed trough the MCDN network but the call never reaches the NRS.

Any clues?

Make sure that the srg IS registered with the NRS. Points to note.

The SRG uses UDP not TCP. Everything with the NRS is case sensitive.

Also have you managed to register your phones with the CS1K.

According to a compatibility matrix published by Nortel in March 2008, BCM50r3.0 and CS1K 3.0 are incompatible.
The BCM50r1.0 is the last compatible version of BCM for CS1K 3.0.
BCM50r3.0 is compatible with CS1K 4.5 and above.

I made a mistake and I'm interworking with a Rls 5 CS1K. The phonesets are being redirected correctly to the Main Office.

Another doubt I have is how to setup the SRG to distinguish between H323 or SIP depending on the destination codes.

In a large network you might have H323 endpoints or SIP endpoints.

I see.
This would required two separate endpoints in the NRS for the SRG.
You define which calls go H323 under Resources>Telephony Resources and highlighting IP Trunks.
In the bottom panel select H323 Settings.
There is a field for Gatekeeper digits.
Any digits that you configure here will go out as H323.
