Trace Problem

Another interesting one, I think it is linked to my other problem too.

My one sql machine (same one I have problems with the counter in perfmon) apparantly has a trace running ont it. But I can't find what started it anywhere.

I found this thread with a soloution:

Is there any harm in killing the trace without knowing where it came from? Is there a recomended process to killing it? Can I find out where it came from?

Well, here is what I've learned for the next person.

My trace turns out to be the default trace. Here's a little information on it:

The machine that didn't have the default trace running turned out to have something wrong (not too sure what yet). We had to reset it this morning and the trace is now running.
