Hello fellows,

We have a problem recently that the extension number of one of our phones was changed. Now we wanted to put it back to its original extension, but still we cannot trace the original extension number from the distribution point.

Is there a way to change the extension number of a phone line? Thanks in Advance

Ok so you have an Aspire, unfortunately not one of my areas of knowledge so I will have to leave it to others. There will be a way of logging into the system (from a handset) and finding out what number is on which port but you will need to know how the system is connected on the frame, are there any records at all?

Thanks for the response OzzieGeorge. We do not have an AMC for the PABX so i dont have someone to support us. Anyway I may just change the extension line permanently. Thus we will also have to change our inhouse extension list directory and extension labels on the phones.

it may be a simple swap of extension numbers in software to put things right, hang in there and you will get an answer.
