Hi,

I've got a user who says they can't forward their phone because another is already forwarded to them, is it correct the system works like that?

If so can I trace which phone is forwarded to theirs?

It depends if the extension who wants to forward their phone has the "MARP" set against it. I'd print off the extension to see if it has the marp set. Is the forward internal or external?. If external then check that CLS = CFXA and that the forward key has enough digits allowed.

Yes, the system works like that if the Reciprocal Call Forward option is denied in the CDB and they are trying to forward to a phone that is already forwarded them.
If you print the TN you will see what it is currently or most recently forwarded to.
You can trace the TN of that destination phone in LD 80 you can verify if the forward key is active.

Hi,

I think I follow what your saying. For more info here's the following -

it doesn't look to me that the second phone is forwarded to the first, but I'm never sure how to see if the forward key is active.

Oh & it'll be an internal forward.

Yeah that doesn't appear to be the problem.
You can see if call forward is active in LD 80
.trac 100 1 2 3
or just
.trac 100 1 2 3 19 <-- CFW key

I would question what they mean by "can't forward their phone because another is already forwarded to them".

That was my first thought tbh, but as they are high up the food chain I wanted to make sure I have things right at my end before questioning it.

Cheers.

Can you go to the phone and have the user show you what they are doing so that you can see the issue first hand?
Might be a simple user error.

Also check that they are using the extension numbers to do the forward on as some users forget what their extension phone number is.
