I have a purely Irix env. Networker Server is supported on Irix, however the NMC is not. I believe that I can use nwadmin from 7.2.2 to manage this in addition to nsrwatch for monitoring.

What do I need to copy over in addition to the nwadmin binary?
I tested this on windows and I needed several dll files, but wasn't sure how this would work on IRIX or UNIX for that matter and I have no system to test it on at the moment.

IRIX is the only OS that can be run in this env, so bringing in another server or client OS is impossible.

I tested this a while ago on Solaris and Linux and found out that, besides some GUI related messages, it will work in general. As nwadmin is X-based, you just need to install the nwadmin binary.

But do not forget that you you can also administrate your NW server from any other computer where nwadmin/NMC runs.

Hi,

don't know if this will work as 7.3 was completely reworked. There are new daemons that handles jukeboxes and I would be a bit reluctant to use nwadmin for that part. There are also some new attributes that will not be seen with the nwadmin GUI. Maybe support can tell you?

It works, believe me. I do not know how long this will be the case and of course some of the new features might be missing. However, as all communication will be forwarded via nsrd, there is no obvious problem.
