I guess this is no big deal but I did not expect Sidekick to respond on the touchscreen. I have a 10 inch tablet with Windows 8.1.
As a one-liner, I would say Sidekick on a touchscreen works as well as Word and Excel, giving the same improvements and limitations of use.
TOUCHSCREEN
Moving from card to card, folder to folder is quicker with a touch on the screen rather than moving the cursor with a mouse or touch-pad.
The SK98 calculator is better using fingers and not the cursor. Same goes for the SK98 phone dialler but that has been replaced by the mobile phone.
The on-screen keyboard is ok but slow on letters, fair on numbers, which is fine for most Sidekick entries.
PEN
On a 10” screen the icons are sometimes too close together for fingers. A pen is an easy way round that. The Magnifier can also be used but I prefer the pen. On an iPad you can enlarge the screen with fingers but not so on my tablet.
KEYBOARD
On Memos, I can do a lot of typing. Then it is best to have the external keyboard plugged in and to then choose what you want between the screen or keyboard.
So, at the end of the day the touchscreen provides an alternative function. It´s nice to know that Sidekick fits as well as any other program.
