I'm developing for a touch screen application and I would like to avoid that the end users use the several shortcut keys like CRTL+ALT+DEL, CTRL+ESC, Window Key, ALT+F4, etc.

Is there any to do it in VB.NET over Windows XP (or just kill some combinations)?

Tanks in advance and a happy new year for everybody …

Jorge

The short answer is no. The long answer involves writing your own GINA.dll. This has been discussed plenty on this site. Do a search for GINA and you should find info there. It is not for the faint of heart.

There are also some limited options avaialable via group policy.

Developing a custom GINA dll is a lot easier if you are using Virtual PC. That way when a bug crashes the OS, you only lose the VM and not your entire system. Hint: use undo disks to reset the VM back to a known state each time.
