I have a question, I have the following report:

What I need is that it would show as follows:

so that it is showing the total only once for the group and not per line item, any ideas on how to accomplish this???

Right click on the field->format field->common->suppress if duplicated. However, suppressed values will still contribute to summaries, so you should use a running total that evaluates the field on change of name or some other ID field.

Your example doesn't demonstrate a report, it demonstrates lines of text. Is this all one field?

Please try to include technical information in posts, such as:

Database/connectivity used
Example data
Expected output

This should include any grouping requirements, and how these totals are being created/displayed.

If you're trying to eliminate the last part of a string from subsequent strings, then that's relatively easy, but you need to post meaningful information.
