I am using Crystal 8.5, and have a report with 3 subreports. If I insert either "Page N of M" or Total Page Count into the report, I get an "error 567-Page Header or Footer Longer than a page". If I remove the total page count, the report functions fine.
I have a separate formatted report that is structured exactly the same as the trouble report and it works fine. However, I notice when that report runs, it will run all the pages and give me a total page count, whereas the troubled report will only display page "1 of 1+" and it doesn't count the total number of pages until I click the Last Page button.
It should be noted that I deleted the subreport that displays the most information, and the report counted the pages properly while previewing. I am suspecting there is a setting in my subreport or report options that is preventing Crystal from counting the total number of pages. Any ideas or suggestions? Why would it work fine on one report and be boffo on the other.
Thanks,
