Is there a quick way, using either EMC ControlCenter or symcli commands, to determine the total amount of storage assigned as standard devices, bcv devices, r1/r2 devices, and unallocated ? I tried viewing the properties of our Symm through ControlCenter, but the total amt of devices unallocated appears to be 2.5TB more than actual, and the help menu for this screen states that devices might be counted as both BCV and SRDF devices.

Do you have StorageScope installed? If so, go to the Arrays report, and this should tell you the information that you are looking for.

thanks, I found that exact info in storage scope at the end of last week
