I am drawing a blank. I have a report showing header record info. There is a subreport with the detail for each header showing invoice amounts. I want to total them after the sub report. I added a field on the sub report (detail section, later to be changed to non visable) to sum over all. I went back to the main report it shows the total for each customer. However when I try and access it on the main report it does not give me the sum total. The sub report field name is txtSumAmount. On the main report I have an unbound field set to reports!rptsubreport!txtSumAmount.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong or is this just not the way to do this?

Remember when... everything worked and there was a reason for it?

Set the control souce on the main report to:
=rptsubreport!txtSumAmount
This assumes:
- the subreport control name is "rptSubReport"
- the text box on the subreport is named "txtSumAmount"
- the subreport and the text box are in the same section of the main report
