Total First Record in a Group

I am trying to total only the first record in a group in Crystal 9.0. What is the best way to do this?
 
Sort by date Sort by votes
You could use the running total expert and choose the field you want to summarize, e.g., {table.amt}, sum, evaluate on change of group, reset never.
