Hi,
I have a running total (distinct count, Evaluate each record, never reset) that works great in the report footer, but it counts up at the report header. The managers want to see the totals at the beginning of the report?? How can I make this happen? Thanks

Assuming you really ca not convert the RTs to ordinary Crystal Summaries.

You can not show RTs in report or group headers.

If they insist then create a sub report which is a copy of your main report and display just the RTs they want to see.

Do not link the subreport, it means you have to parse through the data twice but that will be the cost of their insistence.

If you're running total is evaluating for every record then you should get the same result with a standard summary and this can be used in a report header.

I agree with Gary. You should be able to just drag an inserted distinct count into the report header.

In the report footer I am getting the accurate count (93) in the report header I'm getting 1. I'm grouping the record on the same thing I'm counting (Sample_ID)

Can you explain what you have inserted into the report header section.

If yoor running total in the report footer is eveluating for every record then it doesn't matter what groups you have on the report.

You should be inserting a summary (right click on the field->insert summary->distinctcount) on the field, not a running total.
