Hi,I'm a total beginner to ASP and I'm hopeing somebody could explain some things to me.
How does the whole process of creating ASP page works?
When I send a request for a page, does a program on a server write an ASP program in VBScript and than compile it and than this program, created with VBScript creates a HTML file?Am I wrong?
As you can see I'm pretty much lost.I hope someone can help me visualise the whole process.

Thank you very, very much for helping me with this

Internet Information Services (IIS), it was created by Microsoft. This is a web server. When you access a ASP file the web browser requests it from IIS, then IIS goes through the ASP file, skipping comments etc.. and when it comes across code it then will process it, and then when its done it will send it back to the browser as HTML which ever browser can read.

Hope that helps.
