Total & SubTotal fields exchanging values when mult. pages

Hi

I have Total & SubTotal fields defined to Reset when my 1st column data changes. They work correctly as long as my 1st column data is contained within 1 page. If there are multiple pages of 1st column data - my Total field ends up displaying the SubTotal amount and my last SubTotal ends up displaying the Total amount.

This is wierd. Has anyone else ever run into something like this? Any suggestions?
