Toshiba Satellite Pro 4270

We have a Toshiba Satellite Pro 4270 that after you have entered the correct Bios Password, it displays a screen with a rectangular bar with a moon symbol at the beginning and a sun symbol at the end of it. Something starts to load indicated by a blue bar inside the rectangle, it gets about a quarter of the way across and then stops. I have tried holding the F1 key or F8 keys in whilst powering up.
Any ideas, and what do the sun moon and rectangular bar present.

I have found the problem it was stuck in Hibernation Mode, you can bypass Hibernation Mode while holding down the backspace key while powering up.
