toshiba digital phones

I ended up with a set of 4 toshiba dkt3000 phones but no pbx to run them. So now I'm trying to decide whether I want to find one on ebay and attempt getting it to work in my house. I'm not experienced but don't mind the battle. I have a voip ATA so just a regular phone line coming out of that. I was thinking of getting a used strata pbx and plugging that phone line into a fxo/fxs port on the pbx (CO1-4) and then using the house phone wiring to attach the phones. Am I way off base or is this feasible? I like the features of the phones for the house but I'd hate to waste time and money if getting this to work is unlikely. Any advice is appreciated. Thankyou.

PS Even better is if there was a pc card I could use in place of the pbx box but getting phones functional is my primary goal.

I've done what you are requesting with a Nortel Norstar system, which was a piece of cake to setup.

I installed in a friends house to his pre-existing telephone cables running from the main CO DMark input from the phone company. I spliced all the cables on the termination end at the DMark and then punched down all of the pre-existing cables to a 66 block connected to the Norstar. Instead of the house using all 1 shared phone line with all the cables, each cable run to the basement, family room, bedrooms, kitchen was now an extension on the Norstar system.

We didn't end up using the CO wiring outside the house from the phone company. Instead we bought an ATA and plugged 2 standard phone cables into the Line 1 and Line 2 on the ATA, directly into the CO1 and CO2 line inputs on the Norstar. It's a DR1 system manufactured in 1989, but runs like a new VOIP system with the VOIP trunks "analoged" into the Norstar. That required a little additional wiring from the router down to the phone system which was next to the DMark in the garage.

I know nothing about wiring up the Strata systems, but seeing I was able to do this with a Norstar, a Strata should be fairly easy.

Great, it helps to know I can plug those ata lines into the CO of the pbx.

I'm still a little unclear on what's going to be coming out of the strata to feed into the house wire punch down block. For the norstar was this a standard port/cable or was it more proprietary? If I purchase, for example, a strata dk40 I want to be sure I can send its output into the punch down block without any special cables/adapters etc.
