Tortoise CVS issue

I have a problem in tortoise cvs as I am new bee to version tool.

When I try creating a new module by right-click after checking out the code to the local path I am receiving the error as

Detail:
Release "" is not valid
valid release values are 8.1.0 8.2.0 ENV
Prefix type "" is not valis
valid prefix type values are MERGE4 PCR MERGE CTEL MERGEP DEF CQ MERGEM SOLVE
Missing description from check in message
Msg=""

-f[server aborted]:Message verification failed

Please help me wht will be the problem
