Topology map problem on PP8600s and BS5510s

We have 8600s on 3.3.4 and BS5510s on 3.0.1.

The 5510s are not show in the Topology map on the 8600 and therefore cannot be seen using OSM 4.

There are also PP1200s and BS460s - but these show up fine.

Any ideas why the 5510s don't want to play?

I have checked the release notes and documentation, but cannot find anything as yet.

Many thanks

Have a look in the SNMP configuratioon screen for the 5510 and at the bottom of the screen is an option Topology, set this option to enabled.

The switch should then take part in the SONMP auto topology process. It can also be don from decice manager under the dianostic section.

there should be 2 section Topology on/off and the topology table.

I should be enabled in the global on/off section.

Thanks for your response. It would seem that there is a bug in 3.x of the 5510 code in that the topology packets do not get sent out unless spanning tree is enabled. We have this disabled and run SMLT. This is supposed to be fixed in 4.0 of the 5510 code that has just been released. All I need is some down time now to upgrade the switches.
