Hi,

we have a problem with the topas, when it runs, the topas process takes 90 % of CPU, but when this process is performed on another server, we haven't this problem.
The servers both are AIX 4.3.3 and ML11.

Thanks in advance.

David

hi ,

we had this problem on earlier ML i.e. 8 , but going to 11 fixed the problem , are you sure you have all filesets installed i.e. instfix -i | grep ML shows all filesets installed . What version of perfagent.tools have you got installed? ( we have 2.2.33.84 on AIX 4.33 ML 11)

Hi,
Thanks, but we have all the filesets installed just like you.
Do you have any other ideas as to why this could be happening?
Could the problem be to do with the microcode?
Thanks in advance!!

David

Well, most probably a reboot would help (if you have the possibility to do so)

We had some problems with topas around shared memory segments. topas had some fight with HA daemons.
You can check shared memory using ipcs command.
