While trying to run topas on one of my servers this morning, I encountered this error:

SpmiCreateStatSet can't create StatSet

When I have had problems with topas in the past, deleting the Spmi_shm_hook file in /etc (topas recreates it) usually fixed the problem. Today... no luck. I have googled around, but havent found anything helpful.

Has anyone run into this before? If so, how did you fix it?

just got done talking with IBM. There were some shared memory segments that were all confused.

solution is/was:

ipcs -m - look for any memory segemtns begining with 0x78
ipcrm -m <segment ids from above>

slibclean

and... topas now works again.
