Hi experts,
I hope You can help me out cause I 'm getting quiet desparate...
My problem is the following; I've made a kind of menu in which I've used the command DuplicateMovie
The prob is now that I want to add to each "submenu-item" a different url (with the get url function)....(this isn't so easy because You will have to use variables as you have only one instance)
I would really appreciate it if You could help me out with this, ...

You can download my fla file from :

Thanks in advance

Seems to me that if you've got this far on your own... You certainly don't need me to help you out!
I can suggest you have a look at this tutorial:

Seems somewhat identical to your project. Seems hitting one dress menu item, for example, leads to a "dresses" movieclip and "go to"s to each particular item. You could do the same thing(I've done it... and it works!) and just add, on top of the stop action, a tell target to another movie clip, or a Get URL opening a new window, keeping your main movie available for selection.

;-)

Hope this has been helpful!

Hi oldnewbie,

thanks for you quick respones, I've tried it out, but there still is something wrong with it I think ... cause I don't get this thing working...
Maybe it 's me who is doing something wrong ?

I really would appreciate if You take another look at it ...

Thanks in advance

I had a look at your FLA (hope you don't mind!), and it seems to me that you're making it a helluva lot harder than it needs to be. The example that you are working on isn't truely dynamic ... you are setting variables inside the FLA: therefore you can set the URLs for the buttons inside the FLA too. I think the best way to tackle it has already been mentioned - you need to make a movie clip a main button (which dynamically creates the number of options it contains), and then dynamically create instances of that movie (giving you the required number of main options).

If you are still having problems, mail again and I'll try throwing a sample FLA together for you. The main thing is to keep your head ... FLAs of this calibre do tend to lead to mass confusion!
